Korea (Seoul & Jeju) 2013 14-28 Oct (Day 3)

Today is Lotte World day. Time to be a child for a few hours :)

We took the train all the way to Jamsil Station to Lotte World. It consists of Indoor Adventure, the world's largest indoor theme park, an outdoor theme park called Magic Island, a luxury hotel, the Korean Folk Museum, shopping malls, department stores, sports facilities and a movie theater, all in one place.

When we came out of the station, we felt so lost. The place was so big, people everywhere, not too sure where to start. Should we shop first, should we go to the amusement park first, should we go grab a snack, etc??? Decisions, decisions, decisions... even on holiday... haha. Since we had a child with us, it'll be Lotte World amusement park first.

Whole interlinked complex
We went to the indoor amusement park first and it was a huge, nearly column-less complex. It spanned over a few storeys and had all the rides a child could ask for.

Panoramic shot of Lotte World
It was really crowded with students and some of the more popular rides had long queues. So happened there was a parade starting while we were queueing for the rides and we were at the spot where they were entering and got the best views.

After the parade, we went to the outdoor theme park...

... it was a beautiful sunny day. It was cold but the sun was so nice on your face.

After queueing for a ride, we realised that unknown to us we had already spent quite a few hours in Lotte World. We were to meet friends for dinner and had to start making our way back to the hotel. But before leaving, time for snacks. No prizes for guessing where we got this from.

Took a rest in the hotel before we set off to try the restaurants at the food street across our hotel. We decided to eat none other than Korean BBQ.

Kinchi soup
As usual, we stuffed ourselves full and had to take a walk around the neighbourhood to digest the food. But lo and behold, we discovered more yummy food and couldn't resist buying more things to eat.

Fried chicken shop

Supper of fried whole chicken, spicy rice cake and some other fried stuff, to down it with soju and wine
Oh my, good thing I'm still taking my BiosLife Slim while on holiday. If not, I think I'll burst all my clothes with all the eating. Well, back to the yummy food, enjoy looking at it while I feast on it.
