Korea (Seoul & Jeju) 2013 14-28 Oct (Day 10)

Today, we drive to O'sulloc Tea Museum.

I thought it was going to be a typical museum all about the history of tea, boy was I wrong. It was actually more like a tea plantation, with a very pretty cafe, shop selling tea products and even a cosmetics section selling skin care products made from tea.

As the weather was quite cool, we enjoyed the warm sun in the pretty gardens.

It was time for lunch by the time we were finished at O'Sulloc. We decided to head to the vicinity of Songaksan (Mt Songak), an extinct volcano, for lunch. It's actually down the road from Sambangsan, where we were yesterday. The drive along the stretch of road is very pretty, as we were driving along the beautiful coastline.

There were several restaurants offering fresh seafood and we just randomly chose 1. As it was the season for abalones, we decided to order a few to try.

We had the seafood stew, where we could eat the abalone sashimi style or cooked in the stew. The cooked version was definitely nicer as the abalone was more tender.

Live abalone
Seafood stew. Abalone added in later

The stew set also came with 2 fishes and side dish.

After our yummy lunch, time to take in the beautiful surroundings.

Next stop, Songaksan proper. We parked nearby and walked away the calories up the gentle gradient.

The views... see for yourself. That's where we had our abalones.

After a tiring walk, we decided to call it a day and headed back to the hotel to rest.

Tomorrow we will be trying to catch sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong, we had better have an early night. We decided to have a simple dinner, which was nothing to shout about, hence, no food pictures to drool over.

Night night.
